In the grand scheme  of all things related to golf , it is the drivers, putters and golf balls that make the biggest of the headlines, but, without golf irons the biggest (allegedly) influences in golf or drivers, putters and balls, would not exert the same influences.

 You may be great at golf  , but, being realistic you will not always make it  to  the green from the tee shot. Similarly, your putting skills may make Tiger Woods jealous, but, unless your golf makes it onto the green you will never have the chance to show off  your   putting skills.
